Western electric networks

History

The order of the Ministry of Energy and electrification of the USSR No. 70 of 7/12/1968 resolved an issue of the organization as a part of REU "Irkutskenergo" of the Tulun electric networks.

On October 1, 1968 based on the Zalarinsky and Tulun distribution zone, the Irkutsk electric networks which are a part, the Tulun electric networks were formed.

As of January 01, 1969 on balance of the enterprise there were 15 step-down substations, from them only one PS of 110/10 kV – Harikskaya, 2500 kVA. 14 PS 35/10 kV with a total power of 34660 kVA. To basic two regions of the electric networks – Tulun and Zalarinsky – increased Taishet, Nizhneudinsk, Kuytunsky, Ziminsky, Alarsky, Nukutsky.

Savchenko Nikolay Pavlovich was appointed the first director of the Tulun electric networks.

The first chiefs of the distribution zone were: – Tulun – Zhidkov of V.I. Zalarinsky – Varlamov N.V., Taishet – Golovin V.N., Nizhneudinsk – Volchkov V.V., Kuytunsky – Ermilin A.G., Ziminskogo – Shevchenko V.F., Alarsky – Kakaulin S. G., Nukutskogo – Tsygankov G.Z. Under their management the field personnel provided the main task – continuous power supply of consumers.

In the sixties there was an electrification of collective farms and state farms, transmission lines were under construction, substations and as of 1979 on balance of the enterprise there were already 25 head substations with a total power of 91600 kVA, 2296 km of transmission lines. Number of staff increased from 379 up to 640 people.

In 1980 for the purpose of improvement of controllability by process of power supply according to the solution of REU "Irkutskenergo" optimization of structure of the electric networks was performed. From structure of the Tulun electric networks three areas were selected: Zalarinsky, Alarsky, Nukutsky which were transferred to structure of the Angarsk electric networks (nowadays Central).

11/1/1988 the Tulun electric networks are renamed into the Western Electric Networks (WEN).

Since 1989 Kondratyev Vladimir Pavlovich was appointed the director of ZES.

From 4/1/06 to 5/4/2011 Belousov Mikhail Aleksandrovich was the director of ZES.

Since 9/1/2011 Terskikh Yury Nikolaevich is appointed the director of ZES.

Till 1993 the branch was engaged, generally in power supply of agricultural consumers, servicing electrical distribution networks of 0.4-110 kV.

Since 1993 the Western electric networks passed with some of the first network branches to the territorial scheme of formation of the enterprises. The high-voltage electric networks of 110-500 kV. about 3 thousand km. long located in six administrative regions of the western part of the Irkutsk region, 2 substations of 500 kV – in Tulun and Taishet, and were transferred then to the structure of branch and the third substation of 500 kV – It is new Ziminskaya. (1998)

Since 6/1/2006 in JSC Irkutskenergo there went department of network branches to the child organization Irkutsk Electric Grid Company LLC which part the Western Electric Networks (WEN) branch was.

Increase in level of operation of the electric networks, classes of voltage from 0.4 to 500 kV, implementation of the program of reconstruction of the equipment, optimization of economic indicators of work of branch were reached due to hard work of all collective.

The western electric networks provide reliable power supply of six administrative regions of the western part of the Irkutsk region with a total area of 135.5 thousand sq.km, including: Chunsky district of 25.8 thousand sq.km, Taishet district of 27.8 thousand sq.km, Nizhneudinsk district of 50 thousand sq.km, Tulun district of 13.6 thousand sq.km, Kuytunsky district of 11.2 thousand sq.km, Ziminsky district of 7.1 thousand sq.km.

Large substations of branch: PS of 500/220/110/10 kV Tulun, PS 500/220/110/10 Novoziminskaya, PS 500/110/35 Taishet.

The central base of the Western electric networks is in the city of Tulun.

The population of the serviced territory is – 159.9 thousand human.

For 1/1/2011 the collective of the Western electric networks services 42256 conventional units of the equipment of networks, and it is VL of 0.38-500 kV – 9642 km, TP10/0.4 of kV – 1796 pieces with a total power of 397.68 MVA, PS of 35-500 kV – 72 pieces with a total power of 2608.76 MVA.
