History

2022: Purchase of terminal business from Worldline for €2.3 billion

On February 21, 2022, the French payment services operator Worldline announced the sale of its Terminals, Solutions and Services (TSS, develops and sells payment terminals, and also offers related services and services) to the American financial company Apollo Funds. 2021: $5 billion purchase of Yahoo and AOL

In early May 2021, Verizon Communications announced the sale of the media business to the investment company Apollo Global Management. The perimeter of the deal worth $5 billion includes projects from Yahoo, AOL, TechCrunch, Engadget, etc. Read more here.

2016

Purchase of lighting manufacturer Lumileds for $1.5 billion

On December 12, 2016, Philips announced the sale of most of the lighting manufacturer Lumileds, which was valued at $2 billion as part of the deal - 40% less than the Chinese Go Scale Capital offered.

Philips sells 80.1 percent stake in Lumileds to Apollo Global Management-related investment funds for $1.5 billion. Philips will keep the rest of the business (19.9%) for at least three years after the closure of the transaction, scheduled for the first half of 2017. Read more here.

Rackspace purchase for $4.3 billion
