2015: Microsoft will release the special version of Windows 10 for the Chinese state agencies
On December 16, 2015 Microsoft announced creation of joint business with one of the Chinese partners. Within this cooperation the American corporation will deliver to public sector of Celestial Empire the special version of Windows 10.
According to the The Wall Street Journal newspaper with reference to the statement Microsoft, the company will create the joint venture (JV) with the Chinese software maker of China Electronics Technology Group (CETG). The new company under the name C&M Technologies will be located in Beijing and will be engaged in licensing, implementation, management and technical support of Windows 10 for governmental bodies and public institutions, the corporate vice president of division of Microsoft Windows and Devices Group Yusuf Mehdi reported.
According to him, the joint venture will acquire exclusive rights on licenses to the special version of Windows 10 developed for the Chinese state customers. Use of the software (for example, anti-virus) selected by the government will become feature of this distribution kit. C&M Technologies will collect responses of potential clients on the basis of which next images of Windows 10 for the Chinese public sector will be created.
At the same time Yusuf Mehdi noted that Microsoft is not going to weaken security of the operating system and to give someone the rights to the technologies. Clients and partners, as before, will only develop the additional connected components, the representative of corporation added.
It is supposed that C&M Technologies will sign contracts with a wide range of the Chinese partners, including, for example, the search system Baidu and the state enterprises in spheres of power, telecommunications and transportations. Still the Chinese regulators should consider a question of creation of new company Microsoft and CETG.[1]
