Beat Games — developer of technologies of virtual reality. The company is known first of all on creation of the game Beat Saber for VR helmets which by November, 2019 dispersed more than in 1 million copies. In this game users to the sound of music should break blocks using light swords.

2019: Facebook purchased Beat Games

At the end of November, 2019 Facebook announced Beat Games acquisition, but began to set the price of the transaction.

Beat Games will join division of Facebook Oculus Studio. At the same time the command of a startup will continue independent operation at the office in Prague. In what projects of Facebook she intends to use developments of the purchased startup, it is not specified.

The chief content officer of Oculus Mike Verdu in the blog reported that the game Beat Saber will be available on all platforms and the studio will not give preference to Oculus headsets for updates or new content, including musical packets. Facebook will provide to Beat Sabre additional "resources and a know-how" which will help the application to save the audience.

Mike Verdu also hinted that Facebook can make some more acquisitions in the market of technologies of virtual reality.
