2023: A committee official was deceived by scammers on behalf of the governor and the government, who offered to take the post of her boss for 2.5 million rubles

38-year-old Tatyana works as deputy chairman of the Forestry Committee of the Moscow Region. When the official was on vacation in 2023, she received an SMS on behalf of the assistant to one of the deputy chairmen of the Russian government with a request to call back. In a telephone conversation, the woman who represented Olga said that Tatyana's boss resigned and she could become chairman of the Forestry Committee, but you need to pay 2.5 million rubles for the position. The official refused, but the scammers called back again and said that by decision of the regional governor, Tatyana should accept the offer or quit immediately after leaving the vacation.

Since there is no choice, the woman agreed to buy a position and began to transfer money to the fraudsters' card. At first it took 500 thousand, on the second transfer of a large amount, the bank contacted the client and warned of suspicious transactions. At that moment, Tatyana began to doubt the reliability of the words "assistant from the government," the official began to look for information about Olga on the government website, but she was not there. Realizing that she had fallen into the trap of fraudsters, the woman filed a statement with the police, writes "Caution, news."
