The Ministry of Social Development of the Moscow Region (Ministry of Social Development of the Moscow Region) is the central executive body of the state power of the Moscow Region of special competence, performing executive and administrative activities on the territory of the Moscow region in the spheres of social protection, labor, labor protection and employment of the population of the Moscow region, pursuing state policy, coordinating activities in these areas of other central and territorial executive bodies of state power of the Moscow region, state bodies of the Moscow region and state institutions of the Moscow region, formed for the implementation of certain functions of public administration of the Moscow region.
History
2015: Renamed the Ministry of Social Development of the Moscow Region
In accordance with the Decree of the Governor of the Moscow Region of April 13, 2015 No. 133-PG[1], the Ministry of Social Protection of the Population of the Moscow Region was renamed the Ministry of Social Development of the Moscow Region.
On July 1, 2015, the Ministry of Social Development of the Moscow Region was transferred the powers of the abolished Committee on Labor and Employment of the Moscow Region to implement state policy in the fields of labor, labor protection and employment in the Moscow Region.
The main tasks of the ministry:
- providing social support to certain categories of citizens and social services to the population in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the legislation of the Moscow region;
- improving the quality and standard of living of socially vulnerable segments of the population;
- normalization and improvement of the demographic situation;
- Ensuring the rights and social guarantees provided to the family, women and children;
- strengthening the system of prevention of juvenile neglect;
- ensuring state guarantees in the fields of labor, labor protection and employment in the Moscow Region;
- the provision of public services to promote employment;
- improvement of remuneration systems for employees of state institutions of the Moscow region in order to increase the efficiency of the activities of these institutions, expand the volume and improve the quality of public services;
- implementation of the state policy in the field of labor protection in the Moscow region;
- creating conditions for the development and efficient use of labor resources;
- development of social partnership in the field of labor;
- promoting voluntary resettlement of compatriots living abroad to the Moscow region;
- creation of conditions for effective functioning of organizations under departmental subordination of the Ministry and management of shares (shares) of business entities, departmental ownership of shares (shares) of which is established by the Ministry;
- implementation on the territory of the Moscow region of the foundations of state policy in the field of organization of recreation and rehabilitation of children, including ensuring the safety of their lives and health;
- protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens in respect of whom guardianship and guardianship are established[2].
2012: Activities of the Ministry of Social Protection of the Population of the Moscow Region
The Ministry of Social Protection of the Population of the Moscow Region was created to implement the state policy of the Moscow Region in the field of social protection of the population in the Moscow Region.
