Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region is the central executive body of state power of the Moscow Region of special competence, carrying out executive and administrative activities in the Moscow Region:

• in the areas of agricultural development;
• in the areas of integrated rural development;
• in the field of ensuring epizootic and veterinary and sanitary well-being in the Moscow region;
• in the field of animal handling;
• in the areas of trade, catering, the development of wholesale trade in consumer services for the population; organization of guaranteed nutrition of citizens, in the field of retail sale of alcoholic beverages, organization of guaranteed nutrition of citizens;
• to fulfill the powers of the Russian Federation in the field of veterinary medicine transferred to the Moscow region;
• on regional state control (supervision) in the field of retail sale of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products;
• for licensing control over the activities of procurement, storage, processing and sale of scrap of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals;
• in beekeeping;
• management and coordination of activities in these areas of other central executive bodies of state power of the Moscow region, state bodies of the Moscow region and subordinate state institutions of the Moscow region, formed for the implementation of certain functions of public administration of the Moscow region.

History

2020: Joining the Ministry of Consumer Market and Services of the Moscow Region

By Decree of the Governor of the Moscow Region of January 27, 2020 No. 24-PG^[1] of the consumer market and services of the Moscow Region was reorganized in the form of joining the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region.
