Integration with BNPL service "Shares"

At the end of 2023, CSI and BNPL-service "Shares," carried out joint integration for cash desks on Set Retail 10. With the help of it, the retailer can quickly connect the service of payment for purchases in parts at the checkout in an offline store. CSI announced this on April 2, 2024.

Integration is relevant for retail of any category: FMCG, beauty, DIY, fashion, etc. The service is compatible with any payment systems, promotes partners through the site and mobile application.

The offline version of Shares offers the buyer all the same advantages as the online format. Purchases are divided into four payments, payment is made in increments of every two weeks.

For a buyer who wants to pay for goods at the checkout through the service, there is no commission, he does not need to fill out documents with the entry of passport data and wait for approval. It is enough to scan the QR code, pass authorization by entering a full name, mail and phone number, as well as link a bank card for payment.

The first payment in the amount of 25% of the amount will be written off immediately, the remaining three parts - according to the schedule. At the same time, the retailer itself does not expect a full calculation, but receives the entire amount the next working day. The refund is made in the same way as when paying in other ways - the client receives as many parts as he has already paid.

To connect, the retailer first needs to submit an application to the Shares service and become a partner. Then, at the cash desks on Set Retail (version 10.3.23 and higher), integration can be enabled through your personal account in a few clicks. PayMaster Service Integration

In the 26th version of Set Retail 10, a boxed service appeared - PayMaster. It allows customers to connect payment through the Fast Payment System (FPS) without opening a new billing account. The platform works with accounts in any banks of the Russian Federation through its processing and with a minimum commission. CSI announced this in November 2023.

The main quality of PayMaster in Set Retail 10 is that the client does not need to open an additional current account or change the bank specifically to connect the SBP. For example, if a retail network works with regional banks that do not yet offer "express payments," then it is enough to activate PayMaster, and within a few days the system will work in the same way as with a classic connection through the provider.

The service transfers information between the cash desk on Set Retail 10 and the existing customer account. The platform processes payments on the NWS through its own processing. At the same time, the commission for the retailer is 0.7%, which is lower than standard acquiring. Nothing changes for the buyer: payment at the checkout is standard, using a QR code or NFC tag. In the near future, PayMaster will also offer payment for biometrics.

PayMaster is included in the basic Set Retail 10 kit starting with version 26. Customers do not need to pay for integration - to use the service, you need to update the system to version 26 and activate PayMaster at already operating cash desks. This can be done either by the customer's IT department or by the CSI service team on request. The CSI portal contains self-activation manuals at keyboard and touch counters.

As of November 2023, the PayMaster pilot project in Set Retail 10 was launched in Moscow, in a large retailer of the "shop at home" format. Soon, a chain of confectionery stores and a federal network of low-price stores will also connect to the service.

Retail chains with Set Retail can connect sending checks with marketing information to customers by email. This opportunity was ensured by integration with Upmetric, an AI-based marketing performance control system for retail. The check is collected in the Upmetric designer individually for the business goals of each client and can contain marketing blocks that can solve a whole range of marketing tasks of the retail network: from the development of a loyalty program to sales growth.

IT company CSI on May 26, 2023 introduced technological tools for retail chains that will help improve processes at all types of cash registers, attract new buyers and reduce costs.

Networks using CSI's Set Retail trading automation solution can fully participate in an experiment to verify the shelf life of labeled dairy products. Prior to that, those who sell milk from Belarus could not join it due to the lack of the necessary information about products from the EAEU countries in the Honest Sign system. Now Belarusian dairy products are temporarily excluded from the check list. Checking the shelf life of the "milk" is also available at self-service checkouts from CSI - if the buyer scans an expired product, the system will block the sale and call an assistant. The module helps to significantly save time on preparing different lists of goods for printing, depending on different conditions - up to pressing one button in the interface - and avoid related errors. Template development, setting up printing for new promotions and loyalty mechanics is much faster and more convenient.

Set Retail 10 with a tool for checking shelf life at the cash desk

Retail chains have additional opportunities to reduce the cost of acquiring and checking tape, prevent fines, increase security at self-service checkouts, speed up service and please their customers. Technology tools from CSI, which announced this on March 30, 2023, will help retailers solve everyday business problems easier and more efficiently.

Some of the functional changes are related to external challenges faced by retailers in February-March. Among them is the ability of Set Retail to restrict the sale of goods "in one hand." CSI also described all available ways to save check tape and 2 additional scenarios included in the April release of Set Retail. Sending checks to customers in electronic form (via sms or email) is available at all types of cash registers with Set Retail - including at the CSI K self-payment station.

CSI K received an update - a control and weighing platform. The updated module will reduce unintended theft and loss at self-service checkouts. The buyer will not be able to pick up their goods from the weight platform and leave before confirming a successful payment from the bank.

The work with the menu in the form of pick-up lists, which are used at the touch registers and CSI K payment stations, has significantly changed. All their adjustment tools are highlighted in a separate module. Adding an item to the pick list, changing its description and replicating settings throughout the network is a task of several minutes. Buyers will also appreciate the changes at CSI K, because the visual style of the pick sheets has been redrawn and the logic of their work has been redesigned.

Other important changes relate to working with labeled products (including from the [countries of the world]] CIS and at self-service cash desks), communication with the buyer at the checkout and in the trading floor, the convenience of the retailer's employees.

The Set Kit service is developing to work with buyers' orders at the checkout: as part of the order, you can now transfer the seller's ID, VAT rate, as well as stamps - the cashier will not have to look for marked goods in the package, the cashier uses them when restoring the order for payment.

Several improvements at once affect the Set Retail weight module. Visualization will make it easier to configure the scale driver even for untrained specialists. Networks with the same assortment of weight products will appreciate that now one weight template for the entire network is sufficient. BAR-PRINT scales are connected, and on DIGI packers you can periodically update the current time, synchronizing with the server - this is important for calculating the correct shelf life for perishable goods.

Additional options of CSI K self-service stations: cash weighing, changing the quantity of goods by the buyer, automatic cancellation of an unfinished check at idle. Changes to the Set interface for self-service checkouts of other formats will also make the purchase more convenient and faster - for example, they will help the buyer if there are difficulties reading stamps from labeled goods.

The Set Scales Centrum module has appeared - it provides the operation of self-service scales in a centralized architecture without servers in stores. Eliminates routine processes and errors. 

An experiment has passed on the organization of "smart scales" capable of automatically recognizing a weight product - the process is provided by the integration of Set Retail 10 with a video recognition system. With such scales at the checkout, customers do not need to weigh the goods themselves, and the retailer will save on the purchase and maintenance of scales on the trading floor. 

The CSI K self-service ticket office, first introduced in past quarterly innovations, managed by Set SCO has become even more functional - now it can work in the cafe zone. After self-payment of the goods - for example, coffee or baking - the buyer receives it from the seller by check, the company said. It became possible at the top of the CSI K screen to display a color alert for a consultant, by analogy with "traffic lights" on classic CSRs. 

Set Retail is ready for new categories of labeled goods, and the Set Mark service allows you to work with tobacco brands in the "gray zone."

In addition, the Set Retail system is now integrated with the Mindbox loyalty system. The following features are supported for Mindbox clients:

  • application of cards and promo codes,
  • authorization of buyers by card or phone number,
  • calculation of discounts in the system, accrual,

Trade Automation System Set Retail is fully ready to operate the Kazakhstan retailers in accordance with the requirements of October 1, 2020 - this is the first term fixed by law. The company CSI announced this on September 28, 2020.

To fix the disposal of a marked bundle or block from circulation in retail sales, the cashier scans the stamp (DataMatrix code), after which Set Retail generates and sends a check with the marking code data to the fiscal data operator. The corresponding improvements were made and tested by CSI with the support of technological partners in the region - the first tobacco brands were successfully transferred to the OFD of Kazakhstan.

Retailers in Kazakhstan who use Set Retail 10 and have tobacco products in circulation, it is enough to install an update. In April 2020, Kazakhstani retail chains on Set Retail 10 switched to work at a rate of 8% VAT in 3 days. From January 20 to October 1, 2021, labeling of some categories of dairy products will become mandatory. Set Retail 10 with support for the Fast Payment System (FPS) at the cash desk

In August 2020, the release of the Set Retail 10 trading automation solution was released with support for the Fast Payment System (FPS) at the checkout. Transactions take place instantly, various payment scenarios allow retail chains to use SBP not only at cash desks, but also in their own mobile applications and online stores. The money is immediately credited to the business account, and the commission is debited the next day.

CSI has expanded the capabilities of its labeled goods solutions. Retailers who use the Set Mark service to blot alcohol have the opportunity to sell it in one scan and count buyers faster. The company introduced the Set Mark Centrum service, which allows you to centrally control the turnover of labeled products throughout the network - the opportunity is especially relevant for working with shoes.

Set Retail is now able to work with orders of legal entities issued through any sales channel, as well as accept a previously prepaid order at the checkout. All this is through the Set Kit service.
