2025: Electric Bus Production Launch
The Chelyabinsk City Electric Transport Plant (ChZGET) has completed a large-scale modernization of production facilities, investing ₽1,2 billion in the creation of the first full-cycle enterprise in the Ural Federal District to produce trolleybuses and electric buses of the Sinara family. The plant has established serial production of Sinara-6253 electric buses and can produce up to 350 units of vehicles annually. This became known on August 18, 2025.
The investment program made it possible to equip the technological chain with modern equipment and open additional jobs in eight months. The company became the only manufacturer of electric urban transport in the region with a closed production cycle.
As part of the modernization, the plant completed the update of paint cameras, which began in 2024. One drying and five specially equipped drying rooms reduced the paint-drying cycle of small metal parts and frames from three to one day.
To improve technological processes, the company acquired a transformer-rectifier device with a nominal output voltage of 550 volts. The equipment speeds up and simplifies the commissioning procedure when testing finished vehicles.
A new fiber-optic laser machine was installed on the workpiece section, which doubled the speed of production of metal blanks for vehicle frames. Modern equipment has improved the accuracy of cutting and the quality of processing metal components.
At the entrance to the production workshop, a heated warehouse with an area of 781 square meters was built to store components of the Sinara trolleybuses and electric buses. A spacious storage room ensures uninterrupted supply of parts to production lines.[1]
