Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region

The Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region is the central executive body of state power of the Moscow Region of special competence, performing executive and administrative activities in the Moscow region in the fields of physical culture and sports, carrying out state policy, carrying out inter-sectoral management and coordination of activities in these areas of other central executive bodies of state power of the Moscow region, state bodies of the Moscow Region and state institutions of the Moscow Region formed for the implementation of certain functions of the state administration of the Moscow Region^[1].

History

2015: Renamed the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region

By Decree of the Governor of the Moscow Region of June 26, 2015 No. 247-PG^[2], the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Work of the Moscow Region was renamed the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region.

The powers of the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Work of the Moscow Region to work with young people were transferred to the Main Directorate of Social Communications of the Moscow Region.

2013: Renamed the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Work of the Moscow Region

By Decree of the Government of the Moscow Region of October 21, 2013 No. 853/46^[3], the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Work of the Moscow Region was renamed the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Work of the Moscow Region.

2012: Transformation into the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Relations of the Moscow Region

By Decree of the Government of the Moscow Region of April 24, 2012 No. 555/16^[4], the Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Work of the Moscow Region was transformed into the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Work of the Moscow Region.

2008: Transformation into the Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Relations of the Moscow Region

Decree of the Government of the Moscow Region of November 27, 2008 No. 1058/46^[5] by transforming the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region, the Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Work of the Moscow Region was formed. The Committee on Tourism of the Moscow Region and the Committee on Youth Affairs of the Moscow Region were abolished.
