2023: Increased production of microwave modules for radar and navigation

The Nizhny Novgorod scientific and production enterprise Salyut of the Roselectronics holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has increased the production of ultrahigh-frequency modules for radar, radio navigation and telemetry systems. Modernization of production became possible thanks to the Industrial Development Fund (FRP), which provided a preferential loan in the amount of 185 million rubles. Total investments in the project amounted to about 250 million rubles. Roselectronics announced this on October 5, 2023.

With the help of the FRP, NPP Salyut purchased measuring and technological equipment, including metalworking.

Thanks to this equipment, the production capacity of synthesizers and Ku-band receiving modules increased 2 times - up to 480 units per year, which will cover the increased market needs.

The creation of high-performance full-cycle microwave factories is the most important component of the country's technological independence. NPP "Salyut" has all the necessary competencies for the production of synthesizers and Ku-band receiving modules - from development to serial production. Products are in great demand on the market, the volume of orders is growing. Thanks to the FRP loan, we have retrofitted the production areas with equipment, which made it possible to increase the volume of produced microwave modules for various radar and navigation systems, "said Alexander Bushuev, General Director of NPP Salyut.

The bank guarantee of NPP Salyut to ensure the fulfillment of obligations under the loan agreement was provided by Novikombank.

Synthesizers and Ku-band receiver modules are used to create vibrations and emit these vibrations in space in the form of electromagnetic waves.

2021: Plan to increase the production of microwave modules for radar and navigation for 240 million rubles.

The Roselectronics holding of Rostec State Corporation, with the support of the Industrial Development Fund (ВЭБ.РФ Group), intends to increase the production of ultrahigh-frequency modules for various radar systems. The implementation of the project will reduce the shortage of these components on the Russian market. The total budget of the project is 239.7 million rubles, of which 185 million rubles will be provided to the FRP in the form of a preferential loan, Roselectronics reported on April 19, 2021.

As part of the implementation of the NPP Salyut project (part of Roselectronics), Ku-range synthesizer and receiver modules will be re-equipped by the end of 2021. The commissioning of new equipment will increase the total production by 2 times and will cover the increased market needs. According to the data for 2021, the deficit of the Russian market for microwave modules is 4%, the implementation of the project will reduce it to 0.1% by 2025.

NPP Salyut has a full technological cycle for the development and production of Ku-band synthesizer and receiver modules. The company's products are in demand on the market, which is confirmed by the growing demand for it from customers. To ensure the production of products in the required quantity, it is necessary to retrofit existing production areas with modern high-performance equipment.
