Performance indicators

2022: Revenue reduction by 13% to RUB 58 billion

At the end of 2022, Pobeda Airlines raised 58.7 billion rubles, which is 13% less than a year earlier. The carrier's net profit during this time increased 3.4 times and reached 15 billion rubles. Such data were released on February 15, 2023.

The passenger traffic of Pobeda in 2022 amounted to 11.7 million people (a decrease of -19%), passenger turnover - 22.4 billion passenger-kilometers (-7%). In 2023, a decrease in traffic is not planned, the company predicts.

Almost 8 times in 2022, other revenues of the company jumped at Pobeda, which amounted to about 47 billion rubles. This amount included, among other things, income from state subsidies - 15.1 billion rubles. Other expenses increased almost 10 times, to 14.6 billion rubles.

The receipt of a positive financial result at the end of 2022 indicates that society has been able to adapt to new geopolitical realities, to restructure the main production processes in the context of sanctions pressure, which allows us to draw conclusions about the stable financial situation of society and the absence of significant uncertainty regarding its activities, - said in the message "Victory."

The company did not have borrowed funds at the end of 2022. Accounts payable were at the level of 13.2 billion rubles (a year earlier - 17.5 billion rubles), receivables - 7.8 billion rubles (by the end of 2021 - 5.1 billion rubles).

Experts say that state support, which in 2022 reached 174 billion rubles for the entire industry, and an increase in ticket prices, allowed the company to reach high profits. In addition, many passengers buy only inexpensive flights, and there is only one low-cost airline in Russia, says Roman Gusarov, editor-in-chief of the Avia.ru portal.[1]

History

2023: Flights to Dubai resume from Vnukovo

Low-cost airline Pobeda will resume flights from Moscow Vnukovo airport to Dubai from January 28, 2023. Pobeda suspended these flights in March 2022 after the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine.

2022

Moving from Vnukovo to Sheremetyevo and paying a penalty of 2 billion rubles

"Victory" due to the rupture of long-term agreements Vnukovo Airport with UTG should pay about 2 billion rubles penalties. About this at the end of August 2022 writes "" Businessman with reference to sources in the aviation market.

According to them, in addition to payments to Vnukovo airport, a low-cost airline may lose at least 1 billion rubles a year on moving to Sheremetyevo.

Pobeda moves from Vnukovo to Sheremetyevo

The flight of each Boeing to Sheremetyevo will cost about 20,000 rubles more than to Vnukovo. This is an additional 80 000-100 000 rubles daily, - said one of the interlocutors. In addition, the low-cost airline will have to transfer the maintenance of its Boeing to the Aeroflot technical center A-Technics, which will increase its cost 1.8 times compared to the military-technical cooperation in Vnukovo.

Pobeda will transfer flights to Sheremetyevo, the main airport of the Aeroflot group, from November 2022. According to the newspaper's sources, contracts with Vnukovo were concluded until December 2023 and provided for discounts on ground and maintenance, which now have to be returned. Another source claims that the amount is not final, "the parties are looking for a compromise."

The source of the newspaper in the Aeroflot group said that "the commercial working conditions at Sheremetyevo are more flexible and correspond to the market, and taking into account the consolidation of the group's resources, they are economically justified and effective." Interlocutors in the market linked Aeroflot's position with the obligation to "support the level of passenger traffic" at the airport.

According to informants of the publication, the interim general director of Pobeda Andrei Yurikov opposed the transition. According to the interlocutors, this conflict led to a change in the general director, from August 15, 2022, Dmitry Tishchuk, a native of the Far Eastern airline Aurora, became him.[2]

Appointment of Dmitry Tyschuk as the new head of Pobeda Airlines

On August 15, 2022, it was announced the appointment of Dmitry Tyschuk as the new general director of Pobeda Airlines. He was approved for this position for a period of five years. Tishchuk will begin performing his duties on August 16, 2022. Read more here.

2015

Revenue 11 billion rubles, profit 37 million rubles

Low-cost airline Pobeda showed a profit of 37 million rubles at the end of 2015. The airline did not count on profit in the first year of operation and predicted a loss of 1.5 billion rubles.

Total revenue for the year amounted to 11 billion rubles.

At the end of 2015, Pobeda became the seventh largest air carrier in Russia.

Over-intensive aircraft operation

Pobeda aircraft (in the fleet of 12 new Boeing 737) are operated super intensively: they spend 14 hours a day in the air. This gives low operating costs per flight hour. The company seriously saved fuel: for example, unnecessary equipment was removed (stoves for warming up food, trolleys, etc.), the aircraft became 1.5 tons lighter each, which reduced the cost of a flight hour by about 380 rubles[3].

2014

In the first 12 hours since the opening of sales on May 27, 2014, the company managed to sell 4 thousand tickets to Simferopol, on June 10 the first commercial flight from Sheremetyevo airport was made there. From August 1, flights to Volgograd also began to operate.

On July 30, 2014, the European Union imposed sanctions on the company for flights to Simferopol, after which on August 3 the airline was forced to stop all its flights. In July 2015, it became known about the liquidation of the company.

The sanctions deprived Dobrolet of the opportunity to insure its risks, as reported by the Kommersant newspaper, citing sources of the insurance market. Problems with booking could soon arise, as the airline operated through the American Navitaire system.

The successor under the Pobeda brand was founded on September 16, 2014. On November 11, 2014, the sale of air tickets began in six directions: Volgograd, Sochi, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Tyumen and Belgorod. The minimum tariff in one direction was 999 rubles, excluding taxes and fees. The base airport is Vnukovo.

Pobeda began work in December 2014 and at first carried out transportation only in Russia. The airline has had several overseas routes since 2015. The company is part of Aeroflot's structures, but actually exists regardless of the parent company.

2013

In October 2013, Aeroflot announced plans to create a new budget airline called Dobrolet (the so-called joint-stock company, created in 1923 and which is the predecessor of modern Aeroflot).

The low-cost airline will be based in the Moscow region, at Sheremetyevo and will use narrow-body Boeing-737-800 NG aircraft in a one-class layout. According to Aeroflot's plans, the first Dobrolet flights should be completed in the spring of 2014. At the initial stage, the airline will operate flights on the most popular routes in the European part of Russia.

According to the idea, the cost of transporting Dobrolet should be 40% lower compared to "traditional" air carriers. This is planned to be achieved with the help of a larger number of seats in the aircraft cabin by reducing the step between the seats and non-throwing backs, exclusively direct ticket sales, introducing an additional fee for a ticket with a comfortable seat, checked in luggage, priority boarding and meals on board, as well as by the possibility of booking and selling additional services online (on the airline's website).

Aeroflot's stake in the new company is 100%, and investments in the project will approximately amount to $100 million over the first two years. In the year of launch of the low-cost airline, it is planned to operate 8 aircraft, in the future the fleet will increase by an average of 8 aircraft per year. Vladimir Gorbunov has been appointed General Director of Dobrolet.

1932

Later, in 1932, the company was renamed Aeroflot.

1923

On March 17, 1923, the Dobrolet Joint Stock Company of the Russian Voluntary Air Fleet was created to organize domestic and international air transportation and develop the domestic aviation industry. On July 15, 1923, the first regular airline Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod was opened in Russia. Pilot Y.N. Moiseev made a flight on a Junkers-13 plane with four passengers on board.

IT infrastructure

In January 2014, the Deputy General Director of Aeroflot for IT Kirill Bogdanov in an interview with TAdviser told how the IT infrastructure of Dobrolet will be arranged, and how cheaper its maintenance and support will cost.
