2024: Raising 16 billion rubles of credit funds

On February 19, 2024, Gazprombank and IFR-EKB LLC, a company with the participation of K1 Group and IGCH LLC, signed loan and security documentation and opened financing as part of a project to create a scientific and educational center and student campus SakhSU in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The implementation of the initiative called Sakhalin Tech will require a total of about 26.1 billion rubles.

The project involves the creation of a separate quarter in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk for the education and leisure of students. On an area of ​ ​ 112 thousand square meters there will be educational and scientific and laboratory blocks, several dormitory buildings, a library, a congress hall and public and business spaces. The campus is designed for a stay of 1.5 thousand people. Students will be able to choose from a wide range of educational programs, interact with international specialists and apply the knowledge gained in practice. In the congress hall, it is planned to create exhibition spaces, an auditorium, places for negotiations, restaurants and cafes.

Gazprombank will allocate 16 billion rubles for the creation of the town of Sakhalin Tech. The construction of the campus began in August 2023, and the completion of the construction is scheduled for 2026th. Construction is carried out in accordance with the government program of PP No. 1268. It is expected that the emergence of the campus will stimulate the development of an innovative economy in the region, as well as help attract young professionals.
