The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Oryol Region - the territorial body of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, performs functions in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies, ensuring fire safety and safety of people in water bodies on the territory of the relevant constituent entity of the Russian Federation.

Tasks of the department

As of June 2022, the main tasks of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in the Oryol Region are:

• implementation of the state policy in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and safety of people in water bodies on the territory of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation;
• management within its competence in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and safety of people in water bodies;
• implementation of supervisory and control functions in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and safety of people in water bodies on the territory of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation;
