Main Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia for the Kaliningrad Region

The Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Kaliningrad Region is a structural unit of the central apparatus of the EMERCOM of Russia. The main tasks of the Main Directorate are:

• implementation of state policy in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and safety of people on water bodies in the territory of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation within the limits of established powers;
• management within its competence in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and people's safety in water bodies;
• Performing, in accordance with the established procedure, supervisory and control functions in the field of civil defense, protecting the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and the safety of people in water bodies on the territory of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation;
• carrying out activities within the limits of its competence for organizing and conducting civil defense, emergency response in emergency situations, including emergency humanitarian response, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations and fires, ensuring the safety of people in water bodies in the territory of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation.
