2023: How is the digital transformation of the Federal Agency for Fishery

In January 2024, the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo) spoke about the department's digital transformation projects, which were implemented in 2023. According to the agency, new IT initiatives have significantly simplified the interaction of fishermen and the regulator.

One of these projects involves the transition to the maintenance of a fishing log in electronic form and digital fishing permits. Almost 100% of the catch is recorded using the Electronic Fishing Journal (ERZh PC) software complex. It is noted that this system was finalized in cooperation with fishermen, so their needs were taken into account when implementing the project.

Also, the Federal Agency for Fishery said that in 2023, more than 31 thousand fishing permits were issued through the State Services portal and the system for the execution of public services of the Federal Agency for Fishery (SIGUR), including 3 thousand - these are electronic documents. With the help of digitalization of the process, including using the EPGU, the actual average deadlines for the provision of this state service were reduced to 2.5 working days for initial issuance and 1 day for making changes, the department emphasized.

In 2023, Fisheries Monitoring and Communications System Centre (FMS) together with the Federal Agency for Fishery Ministry of Digital Development and the Russian Federation, they completed the conclusion and optimization of departmental public services, which turn out to be for fishermen with the help of the EPGU.
