Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Murmansk region

The Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Murmansk Region (Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Murmansk Region) is the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the regional level. Carries out its activities directly and (or) through subordinate territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the district level, as well as units and organizations created to implement tasks and ensure the activities of territorial bodies.

Tasks of the department

As of May 2022, the main tasks of the Russian MIA Administration for the Murmansk Region are:

• ensuring the protection of life, health, rights and freedoms of citizens of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens and stateless persons, countering crime, protecting public order and property, ensuring public safety on the territory of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation;
• management of subordinate bodies and organizations;
• implementation of social and legal protection of employees of the internal affairs bodies, federal state civil servants of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and employees of the territorial body, subordinate bodies and organizations, citizens dismissed from service in the internal affairs bodies with the right to pension, members of their families, as well as other persons whose appropriate support is entrusted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the basis of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
