Opening of MDDC Monitoring Center in Skoltech

On June 9, 2022, SberMedII announced the opening of an expert monitoring center for the Medical Digital Diagnostic Center (MDDC) on the territory of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech).

The expert monitoring center is designed to manage and coordinate the platform. Statistics data from clinics in 43 regions, preliminary conclusions, processed, AI results of online verification from all consultant doctors also come here daily. More than 30 doctors of the first and highest qualification category work remotely with the platform; in the expert monitoring center, four highly qualified doctors coordinate the work of all MDDC consultant doctors and analyze the most difficult cases that require expert assessment.

The Medical Digital Diagnostic Center for June 2022 combines more than 50 products and solutions of SberMedII and partners based on artificial intelligence, including the smart assistant doctor "TOP-3," "CT of the Lungs," "CT Stroke" and others. MDDC was created to help doctors make diagnoses and make medical decisions based on data from primary admission, instrumental and laboratory diagnostics. On the platform, doctors can receive consultations and assistance in a large range of areas: therapy, cardiology, radiology, oncology, surgery. The platform supports the doctor at all stages of work: from processing research by artificial intelligence, to obtaining a medical opinion from a consultant doctor at an expert center.

Since the beginning of 2022, more than 400 thousand instrumental studies have been analyzed by AI algorithms, more than 6.5 thousand studies have been received for processing by MDDC doctors.

SberMedII, API Canon Medical Systems and R-Farm signed agreements of intent in June 2021 on the joint development of projects in the field of digital diagnostics in medicine. Within the framework of the agreements, services and solutions with artificial intelligence from SberMedII will be used to optimize remote diagnostics obtained on the equipment of Canon and Fujifilm manufacturers, also using the best laboratory solutions from R Farm partners.

The implementation of a new approach to digital diagnostics, namely, the integration of algorithms based on artificial intelligence with diagnostic and laboratory equipment will reduce capital costs for the healthcare system and significantly increase the effectiveness of diagnostic measures.

2020: SberMedII is an ecosystem operator for the development of AI in healthcare in Russia

The Sber Group and the Skolkovsky Institute of Science and Technology on December 28, 2020 announced the signing of an agreement on the creation of an ecosystem for the development of artificial intelligence in Russian healthcare. The operator will be the SberMedII company created in the summer of 2020.

The ecosystem combines the development of Skoltech's scientific teams with the cloud engineering infrastructure of Sberbank and will become the technological foundation for creating services in healthcare. It is assumed that developers will have access to new capabilities for working with algorithms, an exclusive set of structured medical data, as well as tools for their processing.

The combined library of applications and data sets to help make medical decisions, formed on the basis of the developments of Sberbank and the CoBrain Skoltech project, is one of the largest in Russia. The main contribution to it was made as part of the implementation by Skoltech of the project of the National Technological Initiative "Development of an information and analytical system for the processing of large neurodata to support the introduction of NeuroNet technologies" CoBrain-Analytics "" in 2016-2020.

The range of medical solutions placed on the platform ranges from analysis of fluorographic images and radiographs to the detection of depression according to structural MRI data, and is constantly replenished.

SberMedII and Skoltech are developing medical solutions based on 50 artificial intelligence models. The services are already used by healthcare institutions in 16 Russian regions, where more than 40 million people live.

In particular, SberMedII has launched a system for supporting medical solutions, which is based on algorithms developed by the Sberbank Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. With this system, the doctor receives a second opinion on possible diagnoses.
