2020: Creation of holding for the IT direction

On December 24, 2020 it became known of creation of the new company by Russian Post which will be engaged in IT projects. She received the name "Didzhital Mail" what these systems SPARK-Interfax testify to.

As told Interfax in Russian Post, the new company will act as holding for the technological direction of the mail operator. "Didzhital mail" is created for fall forward and internal efficiency of IT developments, and selection in the isolated company will allow Pochtatekh to apply for tax benefits for the IT companies, reported in "Almost to Russia".

In the same place added that start of the joint projects "Didzhital Mails" and the technology companies is planned. With whom the first partnership agreements will be signed, it is not specified. The new company was headed by Vladimir Urbansky, the head of the technology direction of Russian Post.

Earlier in December, 2020 the head of Russian Post Maxim Akimov reported that the company will select a digital division in separate structure and the number of developers will double. The number of employees of the IT direction for the end of 2019 was measured about 600 chelovekam.

By December, 2020 Russian Post actively is engaged in IT projects, developing, in particular, an online service of sending letters and sendings for online stores. Also the company is engaged in development of own website and mobile application and providing other online services. One more of perspective projects in Russian Post consider creation of the international logistic platform – it should provide monitoring of passing of all logistics chain.

It is expected that revenue from digital services of Russian Post at the end of 2020 will reach 30-32 billion rubles that honor in 10 times more, than the previous year, Interfax notes.^[1]
