Yandex allocated Yandex.Market logistics to a separate company - Market.Operations LLC. This became known in mid-August 2021.

According to TASS, citing data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Market.Operations with an authorized capital of 11 million rubles was registered on August 13, 2021. Its main activity is warehousing and storage. The creation of a separate legal entity for logistics at Yandex.Market was associated with a desire to improve it.

Earlier, a similar procedure for allocating a logistics direction to a separate company was previously made at Ozon. Ozone Rocket will deal with the logistics operations and services of the company, and Ozone Fulfilment Services will work with fulfilment centers.

By August 2021, Yandex.Market operates seven warehouses in the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Samara and Rostov Regions. In addition, Yandex.Market is present in 55 sorting centers and 5.2 thousand points of issuance of orders.

Earlier, Yandex financial director Svetlana Demyashkevich said that the company plans to invest about $650 million in e-commerce in 2021, about half of the funds will be spent on expanding the logistics infrastructure.

By August 2021, Yandex.Market is in the process of reorganization, in which the company is actively introducing innovations. So, from September 21, it will begin to dispose of unpopulated goods that are in stock for more than 60 days. 30 days after returning such orders to sorting centers, the company will send a reminder. In another 30 days - to dispose of if the sellers do not pick them up.[1]
