2024: Turnover growth by 64% to 100.88 million Belarusian rubles

The Russian Marketplace Ozon more than doubled its turnover in Belarus at the end of 2024. Such data was presented by Ozon Holdings PLC on March 3, 2025 as part of the financial report for the fourth quarter and all of 2024.

The Belarusian segment has become one of the key growth drivers for the marketplace. The number of Belarusian sellers on the platform has grown 1.5 times, and the number of customers in Belarus has also increased by more than 1.5 times.

The annual turnover of the platform (GMV), taking into account services, reached 100.88 million Belarusian rubles, which is 64% more in annual comparison. Belarusian entrepreneurs played a significant role in ensuring this growth, whose turnover on the site in 2024 increased by 69%. Their share in the total turnover of the marketplace reached 85.4%.

At the end of 2024, the company's adjusted EBITDA for the first time became positive and amounted to a record 1.41 million Belarusian rubles. For 2025, Ozon management predicts GMV growth by 30-40% with EBITDA in the range of 2.5-2.8 million Belarusian rubles.

The loyalty of users in Belarus has increased especially noticeably - by the end of 2024, Ozon Belarus buyers made more than 2.5 times more orders compared to 2023. In total, over the past year, the company delivered 1.47 billion parcels, which is 52% more than in the previous period.

Positive dynamics is also observed in the overall indicators of the platform: Ozon's audience grew by 10.4 million over the year, reaching 56.5 million active users. Each customer makes an average of 26 orders per year on the platform.

An important factor in the development of the company in Belarus was the expansion of the logistics infrastructure. Ozon has been developing it in the republic since 2022 and has a fulfillment center in Minsk and a sorting center in Orsha. In addition, the company continues to actively develop a network of points of issue of orders in all regions of Belarus.^[1]

2021: Establishing a company

On May 13, 2021, it became known about the company created by Ozon in Belarus. We are talking about Ozone Rocket Bel LLC, which the Internet retailer will use to expand its business in the country.

According to TASS, citing Ozon's statement, the new legal entity in Belarus is registered primarily to expand the logistics infrastructure. In 2021, the company intends to open a sorting center in Belarus for faster processing and delivery of parcels.

In addition, it is planned to multiply the growth of Ozon ordering points - both in partnership with local logistics operators and through the creation of a branded network of issuing points. Thus, the company intends to reduce the time of delivery of goods to the republic, which now averages five to seven days.

The team of the Belarusian unit Ozon included Maxim Ganush and Sergey Chileko, who previously worked at Lamoda and Europocht.

By the end of 2021, Ozon wants to create a special showcase with goods from Belarusian manufacturers, the site itself will deliver them to Russian buyers. The number of users and sellers from Belarus by May 13, 2021 is not reported.
