The senior vice president of division of Cisco Security Business Group David Goeckeler says that thanks to TEConts of traffic of OpenDNS the company will be able to detect more effectively cybersecurity threats and to react to them.

"It will give us global control. We will be able to obtain more information on what occurs in the world" — Gekler noted.

According to the founder and the head of OpenDNS David Ulevitch, being the property of Cisco, the company will continue work. Cisco could convince that joint work of the companies will bring more benefit to the market, than independent, he added.

"We did not want to sell OpenDNS. We wanted to sell OpenDNS of Cisco company. This not same" — Ulevich emphasized.

"M&A will remain an important part of our activity — the vice president, the executive director for technologies and the main strategist of Cisco Hilton Romanski says. — We intend to be focused further on transactions which will allow us to add what we already made together with Sourcefire in the field of technologies of prevention of invasion. We will continue to watch virus software and other key verticals in area of security".

Sourcefire was purchased by Cisco in 2013 for $2.7 billion a Year later the American producer of network equipment purchased the specialist in the analysis of the ThreatGRID viruses, and in 2015 the Neohapsis private firm rendering advisory services in the field of cybersecurity was absorbed.
