In the summer of 2012 of Cisco completed process of acquisition of NDS Group Ltd company. A software platform of NDS, her customers and service model will complement the range of network video solutions of Cisco and will accelerate deliveries to the market of the full-scale Cisco Videoscape TV-platform allowing operators and the media companies to deliver entertaining services of new generation. Acquisition of NDS company will allow Cisco to expand the global presence in the new and developing video markets, to strengthen relations with operators and customers.
Staff of NDS company will be a part of the division of Cisco which is engaged in development of video technologies for telecom operators and headed by the senior vice president of Cisco company Jesper Andersen. Upon completion of this transaction the former chairman of the board of directors, the chief executive officer of NDS company Abe Peled will become the senior vice president of Cisco company and the main strategist of department of video and technologies for joint work which includes above-mentioned division of Cisco. Abe Peled will submit directly to the senior vice president of Cisco company Marthin De Beer heading department of video and technologies for joint work.
Under the terms of the signed agreement, Cisco purchased all company NDS entirely approximately for 5 billion US dollars. This amount includes repayment of debts of NDS, the stimulating payments for deduction of her employees and acquisition of all business and the transactions NDS. The results of this acquisition having an impact on share yield of Cisco will be reflected in reports of the company for 2012 financial year (without the rules GAAP).
