Metacloud

The cloud platform of Metacloud based on OpenStack will accelerate strategy implementation of Cisco directed to creation together with key partners of the world's largest global Interoblak, i.e. the network of clouds designed to satisfy customers need in globally distributed safe cloud platform according to requirements of the Comprehensive Internet.

Capability of OpenStack to process any loadings on any hypervisor in any private or public cloud wins to this software general popularity, and now management of the large-scale OpenStack configurations becomes one of the most important components of strategy Cisco Intercloud.

Acquisition of the platform by Cisco company with remote control of Metacloud OpenStack Private Cloud-as-a-Service will play an important role in acceleration of transition of customers of Cisco to a cloud and will allow business to combine operational advantages of an open cloud based on model "as service" with security and control in a private cloud. To service providers the Metacloud platform will allow to integrate public clouds with remote-controlled private clouds based on OpenStack and to offer the customers unique interoblachny services.

Upon completion of the transaction the staff of Metacloud will join the division of Cisco which is engaged in cloud infrastructures and managed services which is headed by the senior vice president Faiyaz Shahpurwala.

Acquisition of Metacloud is going to be completed in the first quarter 2015 financial year (i.e. during the period until the end of October of the current year) according to usual conditions of closing of the transaction.
