On August 25, 2020 Cisco announced BabbleLabs acquisition, but did not begin to set the price of purchase. It is going to close the transaction until the end of the first quarter of 2021 financial year which will come to the end on September 30 the 2020th calendar.
BabbleLabs will be a part of division of Cisco Collaboration Group which, in turn, is a part of larger structure of Cisco Security and Applications.
With BabbleLabs acquisition the Cisco company will implement native functions of noise reduction in all solutions of the portfolio of joint work. Originally Cisco will focus on use of BabbleLabs technologies for ensuring the maximum quality of sounding for users of Webex Meetings who at the same time can be connected both in a conference room, and using the mobile device.
According to the research Cisco, 98% of respondents said that during the work from the house they are irritated by the different distracting factors. Two of five such factors belong to ambient noises in conferences.
Noise reduction by means of solutions of BabbleLabs can be configured as on the device of the user who is connected to the created video conference, and on the equipment from which the VIDEOCONFERENCING session is started. Thus, BabbleLabs corresponds to strict politicians of data processing who are the cornerstone of basic approach of Cisco to security, noted in corporation.[1]
