2017: Cisco buys Saggezza
On May 4, 2017 the American producer of network equipment Cisco announced Saggezza purchase. The financial component of the transaction was decided not to be disclosed.
It is going execute all formalities concerning merger of Saggezza in the fourth quarter 2017 financial year of Cisco which will come to the end in July of the 2017th calendar.
After that the command working in Saggezza less than from 30 people will join division of Cisco Enterprise Networking Engineering Group headed by the senior vice president Ravi Chandrasekaran.
According to the vice president for corporate development of Cisco Rob Salvagno, corporation, having purchased Saggezza, took one more step on the way to the accelerated development of technologies for automation of network functions.
The Saggezza command is the elected group of experts on analytical platforms having unique opportunities for development of cloud solutions and platforms for information security support — Salvanyo says. — As applications move to a cloud, and billions of things are connected to network, our clients need a method to see and manage these more and more complex networks.
