History

2021: Cisco bought Epsagon for $0.5 billion

In mid-August 2021, Cisco Systems bought the Israeli company Epsagon, which specializes in monitoring cloud applications for $0.5 billion.

Epsagon's technology will be added to the full Cisco application monitoring stack platform, which includes its own Intersight service, as well as solutions previously purchased by Cisco from AppDynamics and ThousandEyes. After the deal closes, the Epsagon team will join the Cisco Application Strategy and Development Group led by Liz Centoni.

Cisco acquired Epsagon

Epsagon technologies will enable Cisco to monitor the entire application lifecycle, network infrastructure, and security in greater depth. According to two companies, this will give IT teams access to more data within the stack, which will speed up decision time.
