On February 13, 2018 the producer of fitness trackers and the Fitbit smartwatch announced purchase of the American startup of Twine Health. The transaction which cost is not disclosed will promote further expansion of presence of Fitbit at a health care segment.^[1]

Within the agreement of Twine Health signed by the companies, founded in 2013, will be a part of division of Health Solutions group. Besides, the head of the company doctor John Moore who was earlier working in the American research laboratory MIT Media Lab will pass into Fitbit to a position of the medical director.^[2]
