2021: Accenture purchased Wolox

In the middle of January, 2021 Accenture purchased the Argentina developer of cloud computing Wolox. It is expected that cooperation with a startup will allow the buyer to strengthen the business in the field of cloud computing in South America. Financial terms of transaction are not disclosed.

Wolox will be a part of new business division Accenture under the name Cloud First in which the company is going to invest $3 billion within the next three years and to involve in business development 70 thousand professionals in the field of cloud computing. Accenture intends to give to clients an opportunity to pass into a cloud and to make complete digitization of transactions. Accenture stakes on the fact that it will be able quicker to increase the income from cloud computing using solutions SaaS, platform services and also customer move in cloud infrastructure and applications.

Purchase of Wolox provides to Accenture the differentiated skills as the command combines in a unique way cloud development with design and advanced technologies for business transformation, - the global head of Accenture Cloud First Karthik Narain noted. - In Wolox there are multi-profile groups industry and business experts, UX/UI designers, software developers, architects and engineers, and together we are better prepared now to help clients to make use of technology experience and human ingenuity which are the cornerstone of Accenture innovations.

The president of Accenture in Argentina and the Latin American region of South America Sergio Kauffman noted that the company will implement solutions of Wolox in all fields of activity of Accenture, including strategy and consulting, interactive services, technologies and transactions that will allow to provide in the future really valuable products for clients, shareholders, partners and communities.[1]
