2021: Accenture bought Headspring
In early December 2021, Accenture acquired the consulting company Headspring. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquired assets will be integrated with Accenture Cloud First offerings, a cloud solution catalog that includes cloud migration, infrastructure and application services, and established partnerships with a variety of third-party vendors.
Accenture expects the assets received from its last purchase to be most profitable in four specific service areas:
- platform engineering, including end-to-end platform architecture;
- Platform upgrades that support cloud migration, code conversion, visual redesign, and integration optimization
- platform architecture, including the reconstruction of existing platform foundations for expansion into new infrastructures;
- Product management with offerings covering evaluation and analysis tasks tailored to certain factors, including scalability, inaccuracy, inefficiency.
According to Accenture, this acquisition will also provide opportunities for the company to create a product roadmap, which will allow the company's customers to more effectively help customers prioritize. By December 2021, the company employs 90 employees in the United States and Mexico.
The depth and breadth of Headspring cloud services and their significant experience with Fortune 500 companies over the past two decades will be a valuable addition to our existing cloud engineering capabilities in North America and around the world, "said Accenture Global Manager Kartik Narain.[1] |
