2021: Accenture bought Xoomworks
In mid-October 2021, Accenture acquired the consulting company Xoomworks Group. The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
The acquisition will enhance Accenture's ability to help customers accelerate the technological transformation of business and procurement. As part of the deal, the Xoomworks team, which consists of more than 250 professionals, will join various Accenture units in the UK, France, Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Denmark and Sweden.
Accenture is managed by Xoomworks Technology and Xoomworks Procurement. The first will provide the company with extensive expertise in software development, user interfaces, data engineering, product innovation, and cloud integration. Xoomworks Procurement offers proprietary methodologies and solutions for implementing the full procurement lifecycle, data-driven cost management, and change management.
Xoomworks co-founder and CEO Malcolm Clark noted:
