History
2021: Accenture bought Glamit
In mid-October 2021, Accenture completed a deal to acquire the Argentine e-commerce agency Glamit. The financial component of the transaction is not disclosed.
As part of the deal, Glamit, including 260 employees, will join Accenture Interactive's e-commerce and marketing division, in particular the team that develops the Accenture SynOps platform to support the implementation and operation of transforming consumer experiences. The deal will also lead to Glamit's partnership with Mercado Pago, VTEX and Magento, which will also expand Accenture's service delivery.
Accenture Interactive Emerging Markets President Flaviano Faleiro said the acquisition of Glamit is consistent with Accenture's vision of transforming the Latin American trading landscape.
By joining Glamit to the Accenture Interactive family, the company will be able, according to Faleiro, to help customers in the region balance the complexity and simplicity of digital trade and create an exceptional experience that will please consumers and lead to the success of the brand.
Glamit CEO Andres Dorfman noted:
We have always focused on helping brands create interconnected opportunities for their consumers. Joining Accenture Interactive will allow us to continue to do this, expanding our capabilities and increasing our influence.[1] |
