2019: Entry into the market

In the middle of August, 2019 the companies began to train dismissal of employees on the person in virtual reality. The digital assistant received the name Barry, he can patiently listen to the interlocutor, express a protest or porydat a little when the person at the computer discharges him from virtual office.

Barry was created by Talespin company which specializes in services of personnel training in a workplace in virtual reality. Barry and other virtual characters were developed to help people to learn "soft" skills of management — for example, to dismiss the employee without scandal. If the student is too tough, Barry will put the head on hands or will begin to shout.

This technology provides feeling of realism which helps learning process. The CEO of Talespin Kyle Jackson notes the growing interest in creation of the training products based on skills of holding an interview, difficult negotiations, advisory sales, reviews of efficiency. Such technologies allow to consider different options and to find the most successful options of behavior. Skills of socialization - some of the major for any organization, Jackson notes, and virtual reality allows to study them, without feeling awkward.

Efficiency of Barry and other digital assistants depends on as far as they are convincing. Barry looks is quite realistic for an avatar, but Kyle Jackson recognizes that the character follows the set scenario therefore cannot interact absolutely naturally. For example, despite the latest machine learning technologies, such virtual avatars almost do not use body language and the more so cannot answer language of a body of the interlocutor.[1]
