2021: Accenture bought T.A. Cook

In mid-November 2021, Accenture acquired T.A. Cook, an asset management consulting company. The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

The purchase of T.A. Cook will strengthen Accenture's ability to improve asset performance, improve safety and reduce environmental impact and costs in the chemical, biomedical, metallurgical, mining and oil and gas industries.

Accenture acquired T.A. Cook

As of November 2021, T.A. Cook employs a team of 130 consultants, engineers and development coaches. As part of the deal, they will join Accenture's Industry X group, which will expand its services for digitizing customer engineering functions, managing asset productivity, manufacturing workshops, office services for project management and plant operations.

To remain competitive in today's environment, our customers are looking to become more sustainable and profitable, "said Nigel Stacey, global head of Accenture Industry X.

In his opinion, a powerful lever to achieve this is the integration of artificial intelligence into critical production assets. With T.A. Cook, the company intends to expand intelligent asset management capabilities that help customers automate processes, create preventive maintenance capabilities, reduce waste, increase installed capacity utilization, and ultimately review plant and factory management methods to ensure continued sustainable business growth.^[1]
