2019: Announcement

In the middle of July, 2019 the developer of technologies for athletes of Form Athletica announced the forthcoming release of waterproof goggles which use the transparent display of augmented reality to inform swimmers on physical indicators. The new product of the company received the name Form Swim.

Though wearable devices became a part of everyday life of runners and athletes for a long time, swimmers faced a set of problems, first of all bulkiness and a neudobnost of the new systems. The Form company decided to meet this lack especially as modern technologies allow to realize the new project.

Points were developed for swimmers who will cost $199 within four years in cooperation with the leading athletes and trainers, including the former Olympians. A result was the user interface which, according to developers, provides exact information on physical indicators of the swimmer, without interfering it with work.

For this purpose transparent lenses and the miniature on-board computer independent operation are integrated from 16th o'clock into Form Swim goggles. As well as the majority of wearable devices, points are delivered with the accompanying Form Swim App application which will be available to devices iOS and Android in the relevant shops.

The application will allow swimmers to browse results of the previous trainings and to exchange data. Thanks to such data hunters and their trainers will be able to monitor the outlined trends, to set the exact purposes and to estimate results. Swimmers will also be able independently to select indicators which should be displayed wearing spectacles in real time and also time of their display, for example, during a turn or rest.

The company also explained that data of Form Swim glasses can be embedded in existing applications for trainings and health. The beginning of sales of the device is planned for August 7, 2019.^[1]
