Activities

Alt Telecom is engaged in sale of cell phones and different portable digital devices: a photo, video, audio, notebooks and also accessories to them. Renders services in customer service of cellular operators, makes Remittances according to Rossi and the CIS countries, provides additional financial services: payment acceptance for services of cellular operators, TV, the Internet and so forth, repayment of the credits, acceptance of payment for housing and communal services, etc.

Data network

The provider Task, since II quarter 2010, provided with Internet access of 190 sales points of network of digital salons "Alt Telecom".

The feature of project implementation consisted in overcoming the difficulties connected with creation of a single network of a large number of salons of the sales Alt Telecom located in the different districts of Moscow.

"For the solution of an assigned task channels, but not opto-volokonnyekabelny connections were used by radio that in addition gave to the client the chance quickly to provide with communication services all trade pavilions", - Maxim Zhukov, the director of the department of sales by Task comments.

"One of advantages of connection for Alt Telecom on PRE technology - WIMAX became reduction of terms of technical work on providing new points with communication, - Yury Agafonov, the director of operations and to business development tells Alt Telecom, - that, undoubtedly, affected decrease in our project costs and also the solution of administrative matters significantly became simpler".

According to the results of work in 2010 the decision on further continuation of cooperation was made: in 2011 it is going to connect more than 80 salons "Alt Telecom".

History

On December 7, 2011 the Kommersant newspaper with reference to anonymous sources reported that Euroset buys Alt Telecom for 70 million dollars. This transaction, according to the newspaper, will allow Euroset to double at the expense of 520 shops of the bought company number of monobranded network of the major shareholder - VimpelCom operator.

According to the newspaper, Euroset already purchased Sigma Trade Ltd which manages cellular shops "Alt Telecom", and now 100% of stocks of closed joint stock company own Euroset Retail LLC. Under the terms of the transaction, Euroset received assignment of the rights of lease to all shops, fixed assets and the right to a brand.

Process of transfer of salons of Alt Telecom of Euroset should come to the end till February, 2012, reported a newspaper source.

Additional conditions of the transaction is need of independent accomplishment by Alt Telecom of obligations to the partners whereas Euroset within the transaction undertakes only obligations to lessors. "Debts to partners, banks and suppliers are not a part of the transaction", - specified a source of the agency.

All staff of shops of cellular retailer "Alt Telecom" will be able to pass if desired to work to the new owner, told the correspondent of RIA Novosti the source close to one of the parties of negotiations.

Part of additional services which are provided at the time of the transaction by Alt Telecom are not Euroset. For example, the service of online printing of photos allowing users to load photos on the Internet and to receive prints in one of shops of the retailer. Not all services of Alt Telecom will be saved, tells a source of RIA Novosti. "A part from these services will be saved, and a part will not. Specific decisions are not made yet", - explained a source.
