2015

MegaFon purchased Gars Telecom

The Board of Directors MegaFon approved acquisition of the Moscow telecommunication company "Gars Telecom" in June, 2015. 100% of stocks of the operator will be redeemed from offshores Stayblon Limited and Giacomodex Finance. Thanks to this transaction, MegaFon wants to strengthen the positions in capital business centers and in the market of B2B^[1]MegaFon buys the operator to get into the Moscow business centers

The transaction price will be disclosed after its end. Respondents of CNews experts of the telecommunication market estimated the cost of Gars Telecom approximately at 2.5 billion rubles without debt cost.

According to the director of the analytical agency "Rustelekom" Yury Bryukvin, Gars Telecom is an interesting asset, but in the conditions of the forthcoming entry into the Moscow cellular Tele2 market when "the big three" makes investments in development of network and at retail, intention of MegaFon to strengthen the positions in the market of fixed connection looks illogical.

The transaction on acquisition of Gars Telecom by MegaFon company was closed in September, 2015. Financial side of the agreement of the company was not opened.

MegaFon provides to the company a loan in the amount of 80 million rubles

The telecom operator ^[2] will provide to Gars Telecom subsidiary company a renewable loan in the amount of 80 million rubles. MegaFon signed the relevant agreement with Gars Telecom LLC on October 1^[3].

2014

In 2014 revenue of Gars Telecom group grew by 17.45%, and made 1341.8 million rubles.

The structure of revenue – still some time ago consisting mainly of income from rendering services of telephony, the Internet and intellectual and capacious services – was complemented with two new blocks. So, in structure of voice services income from rendering qualitative VoIP of services is more and more notable. The share of this block in revenue from voice services during reporting period made 29.6% or 140.8 million rubles. In total voice services the - the fixed, mobile communication and the IP telephony – brought the companies of 476.4 million rubles, or 35.5% of all income of the last year.

The second new block is created by income from rendering telematic services – both for the interoperator purposes, and for the benefit of end customers. At the end of 2014 the telecom operator of Gars Telecom earned 331.8 million rubles or 24.7% of revenue in this direction. Aggressive growth of the direction became possible thanks to the long-term investments in network and the equipment that led to expansion of opportunities and finding of the status of the operator of the last mile in Moscow.

Income from rendering services of Internet access was 487.0 million rubles (36.3% of revenue) at the end of 2014; 46.5 million rubles brought integration and other services.

2013

Consolidated revenues of Gars Telecom group in the first half of the year 2013 were 536’633 thousand rubles that is 18.7% higher than the same period of last year.

For the first half of the year 2013 the pool of the serviced real estate of Gars Telecom increased by 23 positions with a total area of 410 thousand sq.m, having brought closer the total volume of bank of projects to a mark of 8 million sq.m. Among new objects – 8 business centers of class "A", 11 – class "B" and 7 – class "C".

Distribution of revenue from groups of services in income of the telecom operator practically did not change that speaks about a stable company performance. So, revenue from the telephony provision of services (fixed and on the basis of convergence of the fixed and mobile communication) in terms of money grew by 22% and made 209’287 thousand rubles against 171’795 thousand rubles the previous year (39% and 38% of income respectively).

Revenue from rendering data services and Internet access for the period increased by 14% in terms of money, to 246’851 thousand rubles, against 217’004 thousand rubles (46% and 48%). Intelligently capacious services (integration projects, outsourcing of communication services and telecommunications, TelekomConsulting, etc.) brought Gars Telecom 27% more – 80’495 thousand rubles against 63’293 thousand rubles the previous year (15% and 14%).

2012

Revenue of Gars Telecom group in 2012 made 1,014.8 million rubles 38.1% of income brought voice services: the fixed and mobile communication, solutions on the basis of the intellectual platform. Voice traffic on network of the company grew by a third and made 161,680 thousand minutes. Services of Internet access brought to 40.9% of income of the company. In 2012 the Gars Telecom network missed 5,586,341 GB of data that is 43% more, than the previous year. 21% of income were intellectual and capacious services: consulting, outsourcing, management of the IT budget.

The gain of office space in a portfolio made 26.5% that is equivalent 1.53+ of mln sq.m in absolute expression. Among them - 525.2 thousand sq.m. of offices of class "A", 822.5 thousand sq.m. of class "B" and 246.3 thousand sq.m. of class "C". Thus, as of the beginning of 2013 the bank of projects Gars Telecom makes 7’617’600 sq.m of the commercial areas or 372 objects in service (against 6.5 million sq.m. and 303 objects the previous year).

The client pool of Gars Telecom added 30% and Software AG, Bashneft, Alpine New Book, etc. was replenished with such brands as Danieli, L’Occitane, Daiwa Capital Markets, Bang&Bonsomer.

2011

In 2011 the Gars Telecom group earned 848.9 million rubles (in 2010 – 653.3 million, everywhere - excluding VAT). Revenue from services of voice services (316.5 million rubles), Internet access and data transmission (305.2 million rubles) increased by 55.9% in comparison with the same period of last year. The volume of the voice traffic consumed by clients increased by 99%, to 182 thousand min. And the network of the company passed 3796 Tb of traffic, having shown a gain in 498%.

The block of intellectual and capacious services (integration projects, outsourcing of communication services, TelekomConsulting, etc.) brought the companies of 227.2 million rubles (+12% to indicators of 2010).

The project portfolio in the market of a commercial real estate grew by 17% and reached 303 objects. For the reporting period the company connected 766 thousand sq.m from which 497 thousand sq.m of class "A", 235.3 thousand sq.m. to network of service. "In" and 34 thousand sq.m. - "With". Thus, the total volume of the areas in a project portfolio of Gars Telecom came very close to 6.5 mln sq.m.

Strategic partnership with the Exepto company specializing in construction and management of corporate networks and the last miles across Russia became key event of 2011 within development of federal presence. Possibilities of Gars Telecom were complemented with rich practice and regional resources (38 backbone sites, 150+ of access points).

2010

The total revenues of Gars Telecom group in 2010 were 653323 thousand rubles, having provided height of 22.7% (528178 thousand rubles in 2009, everywhere - excluding VAT).

Telephone service and Internet access brought 398726 thousand rubles (+16.5% to 342253 thousand rubles the previous year.). Revenue from the block of intellectual and capacious services (outsourcing of communication services and telecommunications, TelekomConsulting, audit in the field of communication services and also integration projects) grew from 190209 thousand rubles in 2009 to 254597 thousand rubles (+33.8%). Irregularity of an income behavior in the company is explained with notable reduction of tariffs for traditional communication services and Internet access. In comparison with the beginning of 2008 rates for the fixed telephony decreased by 28-37%. 33-42% were made by an erosion of rates for the Internet.

Gars Telecom was succeeded to connect 91 new objects of a commercial real estate (+55%) to network, having brought a project portfolio to 258 pieces. In square meters growth was 1420 thousand, and the total amount of the serviced areas exceeded 5.7 mln sq.m.

In 2010 the Gars Telecom company entered in TOP-5 the most strategichny Russian telecom companies of rating of institute of economic strategy of RAS. At once several awards estimate quality and the level of development of corporate culture of the operator So, the Talantokratiya project became the winner of the award "InterComm 2010" in the Priority Choice nomination - internal communications for promotion of a HR brand. And the intranet system Gars Telecom received also the 2nd place in the "Intranet as Management Tool Personnel" nomination, and Gran Pri of the All-Russian tender corporate received the intranet portals of "Best Intranet Russia 2010".

Among tasks for 2011 – to come very close to 1 billion rubles of an annual income, having saved "explosive youthful" growth rates in provision of the mature company.

2009: Overview of solutions

For 2009 Gars Telecom  — operator of the fixed and mobile communication, an access provider in the Internet, the system integrator and the consultant for telecommunications in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The company is focused on work with large corporate clients and also developers and builders of commercial and hotel real estate. Gars Telecom exclusively implements in Russia specialized telecom solutions for the market of a commercial real estate in the international BLEC format (Building Local Exchange Carrier) and also develops practice of telecom consulting in the Russian market of development.

As of the second quarter 2009 the amount of the commercial squares on which Gars Telecom provides communication services and data transmissions exceeded 3,050,000 m ². And the general bank of projects of the company reached 4,800,000 m ².

2008

The total revenues of Gars Telecom in 2008 were 528,178 thousand rub that  is 28.2% higher, than in previous (411,901 thousand rubles).

2007: Opening of representation in St. Petersburg

2004

The Gars Telecom network is integrated into the international network of the partner company with points of presence in Central and Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa. Created on the basis of VoIP technologies, land and satellite channels, the network has reference points in Denmark, Romania, Turkey, Great Britain, Bangladesh and also all countries of the former Soviet Union. The company develops in the fields of telecom consulting, management of IT of the budget of the client and telecom outsourcing.

2003: The Russia's first virtual mobile operator

Gars Telecom  — the first Russian virtual mobile operator for a corporate segment MVNO B2B MVNO (). A number of the innovation services, including, service of wireless access and convergence of the fixed and mobile communication is started FMC.

2002

Obtaining licenses of Gosstroy of the Russian Federation for construction and Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation on providing in lease of communication channels. Gars Telecom brings to the market industry telecom solutions for sectors of commercial and hotel real estate. The main core of infrastructure of the company with command center at Institute of space researches of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI RAS) is created

 1999 — 2001: Construction of own data network and obtaining licenses 

Construction of own data network. Obtaining licenses of Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation for provision of services of local telephone communication, telematic services and data transmission. Gars Telecom begins to provide services to work with large corporate clients.
