In June, 2016 within the St. Petersburg international economic forum the State Corporation Rostec, administration of Tula region and the union of Vorldskills Rossiya signed the agreement on creation of educational institution — the Higher technical school. The center of training in technically difficult working specialties will become a part of a new creative cluster which will be created in the historic center of Tula in the territory of the Octava plant.
Staff of the enterprises of Rostec will become the first pupils of technical school, but in the long term any Russian company will be able to send the workers to a training course or advanced trainings there. Participation in the project of the Union of Vorldskills Rossiya organizing the regular championships of professional skill guarantees that graduates of school will get the education conforming to the highest international standards of professional training.
The CEO of Rostec Sergey Chemezov, considers that the new center of training will be able not only to be engaged in professional training, but also to promote revival in Russia of a class of the working intellectuals: "One of our main objectives — to increase prestige of skilled work and to draw attention of youth, to tell them about opportunities to implement itself in production. Besides, Rostec is interested in formation of a talent pool and involvement of young specialists on the enterprises".
