Affirmed Networksthe software developer founded in 2010 for infrastructure management of cellular operators. The company offers the UnityCloud platform which provides tools for management of operators of networks. The solution automatically increases or reduces the capacity of network depending on demand, checks infrastructure for existence of problems and allows operators to unroll new features for users without idle times in network functioning.

UnityCloud offers extensive support of a 5G networks and implements so-called segmentations of networks (network slicing) — one of the main opportunities of standard 5G, allowing mobile operators to create several virtual networks and to optimize each of them for different tasks in the infrastructure. This function is considered effective for implementation of new projects, such as Internet of Things.

2020: Microsoft purchased Affirmed Networks

On March 26, 2020 Microsoft announced acquisition of Affirmed Networks company that it will allow the American software corporation to be engaged in technologies for networks of fifth generation (5G). The buyer intends to use developments of Affirmed Networks for expansion of opportunities of the cloud infrastructure Azure.
