Asaii is the American startup which is engaged in the analysis of musical preferences of users. The company, using opportunities artificial intelligence and machine learning, analyzes data from social networks Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and also from musical Apple services Music Spotify, YouTube and SoundCloud that not only to define the most popular tracks, but also to find the hidden talents. Asaii claims that their technology is capable to find in the future of the popular contractor before his songs get to charts of musical services.
History
2018: Apple purchased Asaii
In the middle of October, 2018 it became known of sale of Asaii of Apple corporation. The transaction is confirmed officially, however its cost is not disclosed. According to the Axios edition, less than $100 million are about the amount.
It is supposed that algorithms Asaii will find application in music service Music Apple and will allow it to become more competitive in direct work with small contractors and musical labels.
Among assets which Apple caught together with Asaii company API for stream services Asaii Recommend which allows to create lists of reproduction of music on the basis of the user preferences appears.
Besides, Asaii develops separate products for formation of news feeds in social networks and gaining access to information on the contractor.
The CEO and the cofounder of Asaii Sony Theakanath and also co-founders Austin Chen and Chris Zhang send for work to Apple.[1]
Before creating Asaii startup, Sawney Sikanas worked as the software engineer in division of special projects Apple from May, 2015 to August of the 2016th, having focused on the advertizing iAd platform and a core for operating systems.
