Star Analytics

On February 5, 2013 the IBM corporation announced achievement of the final agreement about acquisition of a portfolio of the software for a business intelligence of Star Analytics Inc., close-end company from the city of Redvud City, State of California. Financial terms of transaction are not disclosed.

The combination of software of IBM and Star Analytics will expand initiatives of IBM in the field of a business intelligence that will allow clients to get quicker access to specialized data sources for extraction from them useful knowledge in real time. Ensuring full idea of data of different types becomes more and more important task therefore the companies are in active search of methods of automation and effective management of access to the critical information.

The software of Star Analytics helps the companies to carry out this task, allowing to integrate automatically necessary information, applications for preparation of the reporting and business intelligence tools irrespective of where applications are unrolled and data – at the enterprise or are stored in cloud environments. Software eliminates traditional labor-intensive processes of coding and indexing which are applied to access control to information from specialized sources and also need of management manually.

IBM has the most volume portfolio of analytical technologies in the world (including solutions for "Reasonable analytics", Smarter Analytics, and technologies for work with Big Data) and also the broadest examination in this area: nearly 9000 target specialists consultants in the field of the business analysis and optimization, and 400 researchers. In 20 years of leadership in the field of innovations of IBM took out about 500 patents which will form the basis of future revolutionary achievements in analytics and will help the companies and the governments to realize the potential of Big Data.
