Oniqua Holdings — the American software maker, intended for the enterprises of production, mining, transport and oil and gas industries. The company founded in 2000 offers MRO systems for optimization of stocks, helping clients to cut down expenses.

The headquarters of Oniqua company is located in Denver (USA), there are also offices in Brisbane (Australia).

History

2018: IBM purchased Oniqua

In June, 2018 the IBM company announced purchase of Oniqua for the purpose of strengthening of the positions in the market of industrial Internet of Things. The cost of the transaction does not reveal.

IBM noted that acquisition of Oniqua will expand opportunities of intellectual service which are offered within an initiative of IBM Asset Optimization Practice including a management system for corporate assets of Maximo, Oniqua Technologies will be integrated with products IBM Maximo and Tririga, and the staff of Oniqua will pass into division of IBM Services.

IBM purchased software developer for industrial Internet of Things

According to the statement of IBM, more than 50 use the software of Oniqua of "the leading world companies" for management of storage of spare parts that is very important for capital productive industries, such as oil and gas sector and utilities.

Emphasizing importance of a MRO system for optimization of stocks, IBM gave excerpts from the research Aberdeen Group in which it is said that 50% of cases of unplanned idle time of objects happen because of lack of spare parts.
