2022: Completion of the transfer of the clinical research insurance package of pharmaceutical companies AlfaInsurance
AlfaStrakhovanie and Chabb Insurance Company have completed the procedure for transferring the insurance portfolio for compulsory life and health insurance for patients participating in clinical trials of drugs of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. 2024: Berkshire Hathaway buys stake in company for $6.7 billion
Warren BuffettBerkshire Hathaway May 15, 2024 announced the purchase of a $6.7 billion stake in Chubb Ltd. insurance company.
The conglomerate has been increasing its stake since 2023, but it has not previously been reported since the SEC allowed Berkshire to keep it private. Berkshire owns a range of insurance companies, including Geico.
Separate quarterly reports suggest Berkshire's stake in banks, insurance and financial companies is growing, while in other industries, including consumer goods, the company is retreating.
