NextVR — developer of technologies virtual reality. NextVR delivers content for several VR headsets, including production devices Oculus Sony, HTC and Lenovo. The company  also has different technology patents, including technology of high-quality broadcasts of video streams in virtual reality.

History

2020: Apple purchased NextVR

On May 14, 2020 it became known of sale of NextVR of Apple corporation. The financial component of the transaction remained in a secret. According to Bloomberg, it is about the amount of $100 million.

Some days before the official declaration of sale NextVR reported on the website that the company stopped being independent and prepares new products.

NextVR is known for the partnership with NBA and organizers tennis Wimbledon. Within these agreements the company carries out broadcasts of sports broadcastings on the air from the specialized cameras mounted on perimeter of sports grounds. Such broadcasting is conducted so that the audience felt sitting in the first row.
