2021: IBM bought ReaQta
In early November 2021, IBM announced an agreement to acquire a startup ReaQta at a price that companies did not disclose. It is planned to close the deal at the end of 2021.
The Active Defense Intelligence Platform, developed by the sold vendor, provides customers with advanced detection and response capabilities without requiring additional or highly qualified personnel. ReaQta claims that its integrated intelligent platform simplifies the process of detecting and combating new threats, providing customers with flexibility and speed. The platform allows you to conduct a complex analysis that was previously possible only with the help of large and highly specialized teams with a dynamic approach.
The behavioral platform ReaQta helps stop known and unknown threats in real time and can be deployed in a hybrid model, locally or in the cloud, as well as in air-protected environments. With in-depth training provided directly at the endpoint, the platform is continually refined to determine the behavior of threats based on the specificities of each enterprise for each endpoint, allowing it to block any abnormal behavior.
Our mission in ReaQta is to better equip defenders who are relentlessly striving to get ahead of cyber threats with advanced technologies to quickly detect and block new attacks. Joining forces with IBM will allow us to expand and scale our unique artificial intelligence capabilities in all types of environments with a proven platform for detecting and responding to various kinds of threats, "said ReaQta Chief Executive Officer Alberto Pelliccione in a statement. |
For IBM, the acquisition of ReaQta will expand the company's capabilities in the advanced detection and response market. According to Crunchbase, by the time of acquisition, the company had ReaQta raised $2.8 million in venture capital financing.[1]
