Founded in 2012, the Belgian company Waeg offers consulting services for working on the Salesforce platform, in particular Waeg advises customers on work strategies, helps establish commercial connections between companies, automate marketing and managed services.

History

2021: IBM bought Waeg

In mid-May 2021, IBM announced the purchase of Salesforce, a consulting partner focused on corporate customers in Europe, Waeg. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

IBM noted that the deal will expand the range of Salesforce services and strengthen the hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence strategy, as well as strengthen the business in the field of CRM integration. Over the next three years, the tech giant intends to expand the recruitment, training and certification of Salesforce product development staff, including Tableau, Mulesoft and Vlocity, as well as develop solutions based on existing IBM solutions using AI, deep learning and hybrid cloud products.

Over the last few months of 2021, IBM made a number of acquisitions, working to expand its cloud and artificial intelligence consulting offerings for corporate customers. The company acquired Nordcloud, 7Summit, Taos, Expertus and Truqua, which gave impetus to its hybrid cloud business and the development of new skills in the field of artificial intelligence technologies.[1]
