2020: IBM purchased Instana
In the middle of November, 2020 IBM announced acquisition of Instana at the price which the companies did not begin to disclose.
According to Forbes, purchase of Instana will be approved with the strategy of IBM on transition from software development and services to management of hybrid clouds. The corporation places emphasis on hybrid cloud environments, Big Data and artificial intelligence. As the companies began to pass to more complex distributed systems, using public and private clouds and also the local systems, acquisition of IBM looks even more correct as it will help clients to manage difficult hybrid and multicloud environments, said in the publication.
