2020: IBM purchased WDG Automation
On July 8, 2020 IBM announced WDG Automation purchase, but did not begin to call the amount which was paid. It is going to close the transaction in the third quarter.
IBM intends to integrate the WGA Studio platform which is developed by WDG Automation, with the RPA solution Cloud Pak for Automation and also with other products from own range. In particular, integration into the Cloud Pak for Multicloud Management and Watson AIOps systems is expected. The last is intended for monitoring of work of IT infrastructure.
As notes the SiliconANGLE edition, use of WGA Studio does not require knowledge of programming. Software, started on the user's computer, fixes such actions as cliques of a mouse which the worker makes at accomplishment of a task in the application, and then reproduces workflow. Software also provides access to more than 600 previously created workflows which are most often used in the company.
IBM already automates use of AI in business processes and IT transactions of the companies that they could reveal opportunities and problems and to recommend the following steps and solutions — the head of cloud integration in division of IBM Cloud and Cognitive Software Denis Kennelli says. — With today's declaration [purchases of WDG Automation are a comment of TAdviser] IBM takes one more step forward and helps clients to accelerate automation of new components of the organization. |
The most part of clients of WDG Automation are in Latin America, however as noted in IBM, use of RPA does not depend on language.[1]
