Research Center institute of N.E. Zhukovsky

National research center "Institute of N.E. Zhukovsky' is created according to Federal law No. 326-FZ of November 4, 2014 for the organization and accomplishment of research works, development of new technologies for the priority directions of development of the aircraft equipment, the accelerated implementation in production of scientific developments and use of scientific achievements for the benefit of domestic economy. The Central aero hydrodynamic institute of a name of professor N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI), the Central institute of aviation engine building of P.I. Baranov (TsIAM), State Research Institute of the aviation systems (GOSNIIAS), the Siberian research institute of aircraft of S.A. Chaplygin (SIBNIA) and the State state scientific proving ground of the aviation systems (GKNIPAS) are a part of the center.

• preparation of offers on coordination of research, scientific and technical and productive activity of the organizations for the benefit of implementation of large innovation projects in the field of aircraft industry
• assistance in development of research and innovation infrastructures of the aviation industry
• participation in preparation of the scientific personnel in the field of aircraft industry
• assessment of level of research and development in the field of aircraft industry, the level of technology development of the aviation industry, efficiency of implementation of scientific activity
• forecasting of scientific and technology development of the Russian Federation in the field of aircraft industry
• participation in formation of the state scientific and technical policy of development of the aviation industry
• participation in project implementation international scientific and sci-tech cooperation in the field of aircraft industry
• use of the received scientific and technical results for the purpose of development of other sectors of economy of the Russian Federation

Structure

The National Research Center `Zhukovsky Institute` was founded in 2014 as a Federal Government Entity to lead and coordinate scientific research, introduce new technologies and oversee new developments in the aviation industry with the aim of bringing innovation to the manufacturing process and using advanced scientific results to benefit the Russian economy. The National Research Center `Zhukovsky Institute` includes the following research centers: Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI), Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P.I. Baranov (CIAM), State Research Institute of Aviation Systems (GosNIIAS), Siberian Aeronautical Research Institute named after S.A. Chaplygin (SibNIA) and State Treasury Scientific Testing Ground of Aircraft Systems (GkNIPAS).
