2024: Establishing a Company

MTS Media has separated the production of content into a separate legal entity - Studio Kion Film LLC. This was reported on June 13, 2024 by Interfax with reference to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and representatives of the media holding.

Studio Kion Film LLC was registered on June 11, 2024 with an authorized capital of 100 million rubles. The main activity of the new company is the production of films, videos and television programs. The representative of MTS Media said that the allocation of a separate company is aimed at scaling the production of content.

The creation of a new legal entity MTS Media for content production became known a month after MTS it completed the consolidation of entertainment assets into the MTS Media subholding, which is now developing as a separate vertical. As part of this process, under the management of MTS Media online movie theater , Kion (LLC Kion""), book service "" Lines(LLC "MTS Lines"), projects in the field of offline entertainment (MTS Live LLC "MDTZK"), direction for working with artists "MTS Label" (LLC "MTS Label"). The MTS Muzyka music service, remaining part of MTS PJSC, also became subordinate to MTS Media.

MTS Media CEO Elena Balmont stressed that media is one of the fastest growing areas within the company. Consolidation of assets will allow you to create large multi-format projects, develop your own media franchises and monetize them in different environments, offering a deep immersion in the world of entertainment.

MTS President Vyacheslav Nikolaev noted that the consolidation of assets is aimed at finding synergies between content businesses, as well as growth through mergers and acquisitions, the purchase of intellectual property and partnerships.^[1]
